START YOUR CHILD ON THE RIGHT TRACK TO A LIFETIME OF DENTAL HEALTH

THE FIRST DENTIST APPOINTMENT

We know that a dental visit can be intimidating to children and even to parents. As pediatric dentists, Dr. Jackson and Dr. Moore have completed several years of additional training focused on serving the oral healthcare needs of children in order to provide the most comfortable and comprehensive care to children in our community. In fact, our entire team of dental professionals is committed to doing everything possible to make your child’s dental experience positive in every way.

Early childhood dental visits are invaluable in establishing good oral care habits and a healthy view of dentists and professional dental care as a whole. Get your child started off on the right track by starting dental visits at the right time and helping your child form a close, long-term relationship with Drs. Jackson and Moore and our team of dental professionals at Jackson Pediatric Dentistry.

When should your child visit the dentist for the first time? Your child's first visit should be at about the same time as he or she gets that first tooth. During his or her first visit to Jackson Pediatric Dentistry, your child will receive:

  • A head and neck exam

  • Exam of the teeth and gums

  • Digital radiographs (X-rays), if necessary

  • A professional cleaning and fluoride treatment

  • Education about home care with prevention being our main focus

Dr. Jackson and Dr. Moore will also be able to answer questions you may have about oral and dental healthcare for your child. But the first visit is just the beginning of the journey! Continuing with routine dental visits throughout childhood and adolescence will allow your child to stay on track for a lifetime of healthy habits and optimal dental health.
